CONCLUSION OF SUBLIME PROJECT
The research project SUBLIME, aimed at design optimization and pertinent wind tunnel tests at transonic speeds of Boundary Layer Ingestion (BLI) architectures, in the framework of Clean Aviation programme, has come to an end. During the final meeting, held at Safran Tech premises, the promising project results were illustrated, which pave the way towards the implementation of innovative aircarft architectures featuring high airframe/engine integration, with the aim of increasing fuel efficiency and lowering emissions.
An example of fruitful and win-win collaboration with the Topic Manager Safran, and all the consortium partners: ARA, Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale - DII UNIPD, Chalmers University of Technology e Cranfield University.
